A celebrated Pakistani artist draws inspiration from the Lahore Literary Festival.

Mir Mohammad Ali Talpur ranks among Pakistan’s hottest, and most successful, young artists. Hyderabad-born Talpur has a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from the National College of Arts University, Lahore, and has exhibited his works at the Abbot Hall Art Gallery, in Kendal, and Green Cardamom, London; the V. M. Art Gallery, and Mohatta Palace Museum, in Karachi; the Devi Art Foundation, India; and galleries in France, Switzerland, and the United Arab Emirates. Talpur makes “art without content,” stripping down colorful distractions to get to the craft of creation in his sought after, stark, black-and-white ink-on-paper works. Here, we reproduce the seven logos Talpur has designed for the Lahore Literary Festival inspired by the program of the first ever LLF, which debuted Feb. 23, 2013.
