The second LLF-British Council Writing Prize contest will be held this month and announced at the twelfth edition of the Lahore Literary Festival. We ask young writers to submit an original creative writing piece in English, with a word limit of 1500, in response to the frescoes in the rooftop room at the Naunihal Singh Haveli near the Bhatti Gate, Walled City, Lahore. What stories do these frescoes present to the viewer today and over these past centuries? How do these stories echo and transmute across cultures and identities especially in relation to Abdur Rahman Chughtai’s work. English literature and art history students in particular are encouraged to enroll for this contest.
