LLF 2022

The 10th annual edition of the Lahore Literary Festival took place at the Alhamra Art Center, Lahore, March 18-20.

Safety First

Last year’s edition was an all-virtual affair because of coronavirus concerns. LLF was pleased to be returning to the Alhamra for this year’s edition in view of vastly improved public-health statistics.

The three-day festival was free and open to the public. The event took place a month later than its usual February occurrence because of the pandemic. LLF welcomed the fully vaccinated to the festival. It also requested and encouraged festival-goers to wear surgical masks while attending sessions, who adhered to recommended safety precautions at all times.

Line-up

LLF2022 featured a dazzling array of acclaimed international and national authors and artists in thought provoking panel discussions. This year’s speakers included, among others, Marc Baer (The Ottomans), Ahdaf Soueif (The Map of Love), Beth Gardiner (Choked), Nguyễn Phan Quế Mai (The Mountains Sing).

LLF was pleased to host its speakers and audiences, and showcased, once again, the primacy of Lahore – designated a UNESCO City of Literature – as the cultural capital of Pakistan.
